From Mechanical Engineering to Data Analyst.
Back in 2018, I wasn’t sure what I was doing with my life. I had no idea about the jobs out there. I used to go to college, and have fun with my friends. Went to eat, party, drink and repeat. The reality hit me when I graduated from college and had no idea what to do with my life. No friends around to hang out with because everyone had to figure their life out.
I had no idea what to do. I had 15 days left in college before the exam started. More than the exam I was worried about not having a job. I created a LinkedIn profile and started applying to random jobs without even reading the job descriptions. I used to apply for hundreds of jobs every day. Wake up, apply, get rejected and repeat had become my new mantra.
I was devastated. Felt like a loser, and my self-esteem was at its lowest. When everything felt was going wrong, my friend called me up and told me there is still hope. A very reputed company had decided to visit our college for campus recruitment. Without thinking twice I applied for it. In the next couple of days, I was able to ace the interview rounds. The day just before my exams I got the offer letter to join as a data analyst and hence started my career in data. Little did I know, this was meant to happen.
